Amala Ratna Zandiledlamini (born on 21 October in 1995) popularly referred to by the name of Doja Cat, is an American artist, rapper and songwriter. The daughter of Los Angeles, she began recording and releasing music on SoundCloud in her teens.

Childhood and early life

Amala Ratna Zandile Damini was born on the 21st of October in 1995. She was born to an art-loving family from the Tarzana neighborhood in Los Angeles, California.

Career

2012-2017: The beginning of a career and record deal

Doja Cat described her experience after she dropped out of the school in “messy”, claiming that she laid in a bed and was “all night and day” exploring the internet, searching to find beats and instruments available on YouTube that she downloaded and then used to make the music she wanted to create.

She was able to learn to sing, rap , and utilize GarageBand even when at home with no need for working, often creating music and uploading the music to SoundCloud.
